ABOUT THE COURSE

In 2019, the Southern African HIV Clinicians Society (SAHCS) launched the Advanced Clinical Management of HIV Course, previously hosted by Wits RHI as a face-to-face course (2003 - 2018).

The content has since been updated and peer reviewed by both national and international experts. This e-learning course is for qualified medical doctors seeing patients living with HIV in the private and public sectors, and for those looking to complete a Diploma in HIV Medicine through the Colleges of Medicine Southern Africa (CMSA).
The course was recognised internationally as a finalist in the e-Learning Excellence Awards.

The cost of the course is R6,900 (incl. VAT)*

WHO SHOULD ENROL
Qualified doctors seeing patients living with HIV and/or who wish to complete the Diploma of HIV Medicine, through the Colleges of Medicine, South Africa.

DURATION
The typical maximum length of time given to complete the course is 16 weeks. However, SAHCS provides 6 months to complete the course. MCQs will be used to assess each module and a final exam will be written upon completion.
 
EARN CPD POINTS
The course is CPD-accredited for 29 Clinical + 1 ethics points subject to completion and a 70% and above pass mark.
