The Pelicans are turning the ball over approximately on 20% of their possessions. But so too are the Pistons, the Rockets and — surprisingly — the Nuggets. However, Denver is the only team dallas mavericks throwback jersey that hasn’t been sidetracked by the miscues, sitting 2-0 with wins over the Suns and Spurs.

So what does th Damian Lillard is mean? I’m not sure about Denver, but New Orleans, like Detroit and Houston, are suffering through too much newness. Against seasoned professionals, that’s a recipe for disappointment.

When you factor in Zion Williamson, the No. 1 option, is out — who could mitigate a lot of the fresh face issue by dictating the most and having everyone else follow his lead, the Pelicans slow offensive start was almost predictable.
