Pre-exposure prophylaxis clinical case study A 27 year old female, Lerato, comes to see you in the clinic. She tells you that she is a sex worker and has heard that there is something that sex workers can take to prevent getting infected with HIV. Question 1 The latest pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) guidelines recommend that PrEP may be suitable for the following:

A.	Sexually active HIV-negative men who have sex with men (MSM) or transgender personswith partners of unknown HIV status

B.	Sexually active heterosexual HIV-positive women whose HIV-positive partners are not confirmed virologically suppressed

C.	HIV-negative people who inject drugs (PWID) with HIV-positive/unknown status injecting partner(s)
